Description
Perfectionism doesn’t affect all of our gifted learners the same way, but it can cause them to struggle in the classroom. Some perfectionists focus on academic achievement, risk evasion, or controlling their images, and all have unique support needs. In this 1-hour course, Licking County Gifted Coordinator Heather Clark will walk you through the different types of perfectionism and strategies you can use to help students cope inside and outside of the classroom.
This course will help you:
- Compare healthy vs. dysfunctional traits associated with perfectionism
- Form an understanding of different types of perfectionists
- Gather tips and resources that will be helpful in coping with and supporting perfectionists inside and outside the classroom
- Apply new learning to classroom case studies in order to solidify knowledge
