In this 1-hour course participants will learn to identify suicide risk factors, resiliency factors, warning signs, which populations are at high risk for suicidal behavior, what the legal responsibilities are for school districts and employees, and what to do if a student is identified as being at risk.

Description

Suicide is the most common form of death for school-aged youth, and is entirely preventable. Teachers, administrators, and school employees are in a unique position to help youth who are at risk by identifying those who need assistance and taking preventative actions to help them.
