In this course 1-hour, G/T expert Ian Byrd, offers a fresh, new perspective on integrating social and emotional awareness in your classroom. Mr. Byrd is gifted and talented. As a gifted adult, he found himself teaching sixth grade in the same school district in which he was a student. Because he has been at both ends of the spectrum, he offers a unique perspective that is worthy of exploration.
In this course, Mr. Byrd explores many aspects of social and emotional awareness including:

- Imposter Syndrome
- Sensitivity
- K. Dabrowski’s overexcitabilities
- The importance and utilization of the Myers Brigg Personality test
- A more in-depth explanation of the imposter syndrome

Presenter Bio
Ian Byrd taught gifted students in Garden Grove, California where he grew up as a gifted kid himself. On his journey to become a teacher, he earned a degree in Computer Science, briefly played bass in an almost successful rock band, and married a fashion designer.
