All children have to learn how to understand and control their emotions, but gifted students might have particularly intense feelings. The key to empowering gifted students is to not dismiss their feelings. Educators can learn how to listen and honor the feelings of gifted students.     This course is very insightful; however, I find that listing introversion as a key element of giftedness and perfectionism as a gifted person to be a given are both misleading and can encourage educators to overlook gifted students who are extroverted or do not clearly display perfectionist tendencies.
