1. Identify Your “Why”

3. Take Action
The first steps you need to take involve identifying your short-term and long-term leadership goals. Once you have identified your goals, you can set deadlines and measure each goal. Veronica stresses how “you have to find the formula that works for you, that fits your personality, and that really speaks to your energy level and is aligned to your values.”
Next, you’ll need to acknowledge your strengths and weaknesses. Be honest and authentic with yourself. Veronica suggests, “Getting feedback from others, assessing the work that you have done, and assessing what brings you value is probably the most effective way to do it because you’ll start to see patterns.” These patterns are important because they demonstrate consistency in areas where you excel and may need to improve.
Finally, remember to invest in yourself. If you’re experiencing feelings of self-doubt, it’s likely because of Imposter Syndrome. Veronica assures that it’s nothing to worry about. “The more successful you become, the more risks you decide to take, and the more you put yourself out there authentically, the more often it’s going to show up.” These feelings are completely normal when you’re growing as a leader, so acknowledging them and saying “thank you” is the best way to move forward.
