In this 1-hour course, Kevin Spainhour shares a structured approach to crafting and delivering a report that strengthens communication, fosters staff engagement, and aligns leadership efforts. Learn how to assess school performance, celebrate achievements, and set a clear vision for the future while maintaining a collaborative and purpose-driven school culture.

About the Author

Personal, positive, and purposeful are traits that encompass Kevin Spainhour’s leadership. With 25 years in public education, Kevin’s relational approach to leadership invigorates school culture, encourages student voice, and intentionality fosters engagement. Kevin began his career teaching and coaching at the secondary level before serving as a high school principal for eleven years. His recent principalship included leading an urban school with 2,400 students and 150 employees.

At every stop along his leadership journey, Kevin builds a strong connection with staff, students, and families. With a targeted approach, he combines his experience in coaching and school leadership to grow and challenge staff and students. Through high-visibility, Kevin creates systematic processes to allow voice and choice for students. This student-centered focus drives decisions

Recently, Kevin transitioned to an Assistant Superintendent position at Winston-Salem/Forysth County Schools, North Carolina. He serves as a leadership coach to twenty school administration teams. Through purposeful coaching and team-building, his framework for leadership coaching increases leader capacity enhancing deeper learning for all students.

A father of four, Kevin and his wife, Laura, enjoy traveling, family dinners, and being spectators at their children’s activities. He recently co-authored Dads, Leaders, and Father Figures. A storytelling book that shares the journey of fatherhood in hopes of guiding men to create influence and legacy for a lifetime.
