    Very Informative!

  10. Mayra – VANGUARD ACADEMY (verified owner)

The course was very informative but included way too many questions throughout and they seemed repetitive.

    This course was amazing.

  12. Rosie – VANGUARD ACADEMY (verified owner)

Learning about creating differentiated instruction has been an inspiring and empowering experience. I now see how powerful it can be to design lessons that truly meet students where they are and honor their unique strengths, needs, and learning styles. Instead of feeling overwhelmed by the idea of “teaching everyone differently,” I’ve learned that differentiation is really about providing meaningful options, clear supports, and flexible pathways for success.

  13. Denise – VANGUARD ACADEMY (verified owner)

The trainers of this course are out of touch with the realities of being a teacher in schools today. I feel that I should only have to sit through an hour of training only if the presenter has been a teacher of record with in the past two years. These academic type do no fully grasp how much we teachers already work and how under paid we are. I am seriously wondering if the people who are putting these training modules together know that most of us are completing these on our own time.

The activities and reflections were very good.

  32. Melissa – UNITED ISD (verified owner)

    informative

  33. Becky – CENTERBURG LOCAL (verified owner)

I liked the idea of a 4-point grading scale. That the overall grade can change over the course of the unit, and is not dependent upon each individual assignment.

  34. Patricia – UNITED ISD (verified owner)

    Great Ideas

  35. Brandy – SPRING BRANCH ISD (verified owner)

I absolutely loved this session! I consider differentiation to be my weakness, and it is now evident of the many things I can do to implement it. Giving a reteach and different assignment instead of a retest is brilliant. I also loved keeping track of the different checkpoints in a content area.

  36. Carmen – UNITED ISD (verified owner)

It offers a different perspective on grading and ideas to differentiate assessments.

  37. Erin – CENTERBURG LOCAL (verified owner)

    Direct and focused

  38. Kim – ST MARYS CITY (verified owner)

Makes you think about what you are doing and teaches ideas on how to grade more fair.

This may be one of the best trainings in this system! Thank you!

  42. Jennifer – RIPLEY-UNION-LEWIS-HUNTINGTON LOCAL (verified owner)

Differentiation is an area that can be difficult and this was helpful.

  43. Jessica – WORTHINGTON CITY (verified owner)

Excellent beginning views of mastery based learning. Not as beneficial to those with some experience.

  44. James – RIPLEY-UNION-LEWIS-HUNTINGTON LOCAL (verified owner)

A person can start to prepare by thinking about what ignites your passion at work, then think about the opposite of that are there some tasks that make you disinterested, uninterested or demotivated.

  45. Elizabeth – VAN WERT CITY (verified owner)

I think that Lauren and Emily give good suggestions of how to use tiered assignments, how to organize differentiated lessons, and how to track student progress using mastery of learning standards. I think suggesting it should change the grading system (100 point scale to 4 point scale) is a bit of a stretch when district policies and culture dictates a lot of the influence over grades.

  46. Susie – RIPLEY-UNION-LEWIS-HUNTINGTON LOCAL (verified owner)

    good material on grading

  47. REGINA – RIPLEY-UNION-LEWIS-HUNTINGTON LOCAL (verified owner)

Lots of great organizational information on differentiation.

  48. Maria – SAN BENITO CISD (verified owner)

    Not my favorite course.

  49. Gabe – RIPLEY-UNION-LEWIS-HUNTINGTON LOCAL (verified owner)

    ok

  50. Justin – RIPLEY-UNION-LEWIS-HUNTINGTON LOCAL (verified owner)

Good content but way too many reflective questions for a 1 hour session.
