Are our efforts to close the achievement g: 1 ap coming at the expense of our gifted students? That doesn’t have to be the case when you think outside the box. Sheila Mulbry explores the seamless integration of advanced expectations for gifted learners in a regular classroom. She also offers strategies on how to promote independent work and create autonomous gifted learners.

In this 1-hour course, you will learn to:

  • Modify grade-level curriculum to incorporate higher-order thinking activities
  • Explore several programs and websites to engage in independent learning
  • Design activities for students who have mastered grade level outcomes
  • Assist students in developing advanced-level products as a result of their independent learning experiences
