    23. Stephenie – BLANCHESTER LOCAL (verified owner)

This session was not what I expected. I hoped to learn more about the skills and learning outcomes of the AP Language course and gain instructional strategies to teach these skills. Instead, the presenter provided an overview of the texts and themes of her course. The session was more of a lecture on the themes taught rather than the skills taught. There was little that helped me understand what is expected of students by the end of this course. I did not gain a wealth of strategies to apply to my own course if I were to design a syllabus for submission to the College Board.

    24. Donald – MARION CITY (verified owner)

Good course, though GT connections are not overt.

    25. Edward – HILLSBORO CITY (verified owner)

      Well done. Very helpful.

    26. Gina – HUNTSVILLE ISD – TEXAS ONLINE PREP (verified owner)

Great ideas to use to challenge students.

    33. Derek – SOCORRO ISD (verified owner)

      Very informative and engaging

    34. Meredith – PLANO ISD (verified owner)

This course is outdated. I have taught AP Lang since 2017 and many of the core concepts she is teaching/taught are no longer widely promoted in the AP Lang teaching community. I am not sure when this video was recorded, but I’m assuming during Obama’s presidency. The College Board re-vamped the course in 2019, so y’all need to update this course to be in alignment with the new course structure.

    35. Kristi – MIDLOTHIAN ISD (verified owner)

She explains a good way to restructure a traditional AP course with ongoing themes.

    36. Sherry – CONROE ISD (verified owner)

I enjoyed learning how I can implement these writing strategies in my classroom.

    37. HEATHER – PROSPER ISD (verified owner)

      Very informative

    38. JeNell – COLUMBUS CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT (verified owner)

      It was good.

    39. Amanda – COLUMBUS CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT (verified owner)

It is very helpful in setting up thematic units for your course and there are multiple texts and authors mentioned.

    40. Jonathan – BOLING ISD (verified owner)

      good

    41. Mary – COLUMBUS CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT (verified owner)

Great example of how to organize an AP Lang course.

    42. Jeffrey – COLUMBUS CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT (verified owner)

Covers the central themes of this AP Lang teacher’s course.

    43. Irene – LOS FRESNOS CISD (verified owner)

I think the presenter is a bit monotone and boring.

    44. Florencio – PHARR-SAN JUAN-ALAMO ISD (verified owner)

I think this course is an excellent course that all AP teachers should attend.

    45. Tina – MONTGOMERY ISD (verified owner)

This is not constructive for improving an existing AP Lang course. It is one teacher’s syllabus.

    46. Melissa – MONTGOMERY ISD (verified owner)

      Great course!

    47. Elva – VALLEY VIEW ISD PHARR – REGION 01 (verified owner)

Informative for the respective grade level
