This course reminded me of the importance of incorporating more higher level questions in my classroom. It made me aware of how the context of the questions can alter the complexity of the question.

I liked the course and the opportunity to consider the level of questioning used most often in my classroom. I also found it refreshing that a trainer agreed that when introducing new material it is OKAY to use lower level questions. As teachers, we are always told to increase rigor, increase rigor. I also liked the reflective piece that helped to see the importance of “developing” the questions.

This is another excellent course. However, I ended up being confused about section 3.3 (Questioning activity). I completed the activity and followed the steps and still the section does not seem like I went through it, although I spent many minutes (and times) going back to it. Otherwise, I learned the importance of incorporating lower level questions as much as higher level ones.
