Description
All teachers can identify the underachievers in their classes, but did you know there are “hidden underachievers” waiting to be challenged? In this course Carolyn Coil identifies the characteristics of underachievers with an emphasis on this hidden group. You will learn the patterns and behaviors of students who don’t push themselves and strategies for challenging them to rise to their potential.
- Five different types of underachievers with emphasis on the “hidden” group
- Definitions and patterns of underachievement
- Graphic organizers of ways different underachievers show up in our classroom
- Strategies – is there supposed to be more to this?

This was a very informative course. I really enjoyed it because Dr. Coil goes into great detail things that she has experienced and you can relate to your career and connect the scenarios to what you have experienced as an educator.
