Description
Creating complex material for students is different than just giving them more advanced work. In this course, education expert Vickie Briercheck guides teachers through the process of using assimilation, application, adaptation, and acquisition to incorporate complex material into their instruction. Educators will discover how to use frameworks of complexity to challenge students and broaden their learning.
This course is split into three modules that dive deeply into complexity and creative thinking in the classroom. In this 3-hour course, you will learn about:
- Sandra Kaplan’s icons of depth and complexity
- Differences between advanced work and complex work
- Seven frameworks of complexity
- Scaffolding techniques
