    I have never seen centers used in upper levels, and not knowing what that looked like made me nervous to try. Now I feel more confident in being able to complete this 2 times a week. At the beginning of a section of a unit with vocabulary and anticipation guides as well as a couple of mini lessons on reading skills and writing skills. Then at the end of a section in a unit, using centers for reinforcing concepts and working with words in other ways.
