In this course, Lori Comallie-Caplan helps parents and teachers understand some of the root causes of underachievement. She offers suggestions on how to create a climate that fosters motivation, and then, how to sustain that motivation once students find it.
In this 1-hour course, you will learn:
- Frequent reasons for a lack of motivation
- Definitions of underachievement and selective achievement
- How to recognize different types of underachievers
- Specific recommendations for each type of underachiever
This course is aligned with 2016 ODE Teacher Competencies d, e, and NAGC Teacher Preparation Standards 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, and 5.5.
