Description
Tiered lessons are a way that educators can differentiate in their classrooms in order to meet the needs of each student. Many educators understand the theoretical concepts of tiered lessons but struggle with actually implementing them. This course from the Ohio Gifted Organization will help teachers dive deep into tiered lessons.
In this 3-module course, Ms. Chaffins will lay the groundwork for building tiered lessons using strategies from top educators. To help illustrate these concepts, she has invited Brian Krawetzke and Mark Suter to share the lesson strategies they’ve used in their own classrooms.
Educators will learn about:
- Dr. Tomlinson’s differentiation methods
- Norman Webb’s Depth of Knowledge
- Karin Hess’s Extended Learning Strategies
- Practical examples of how to apply these strategies in the classroom
NAGC Teacher Preparation Standards: 2.2, 3.1, 3.3, 3.4, 5.1, 5.2
