Kinda seemed like some of the statements could be misinterpreted as something else. Especially the statement saying the medical doctors don’t get this?

    Great Course!

  12. Ashley – CARROLLTON-FARMERS BRANCH ISD (verified owner)

I didn’t like the tone of the course; it presented giftedness as good and ADHD as bad, when both terms should be neutral and students can be both gifted and have ADHD, and will need support either way. I do think it is important to have training of how the two often overlap, but would like it to be presented in a manner that doesn’t paint one label as more desirable than the other.

  13. Melissa – UNITED ISD (verified owner)

  26. Robert – HALLSVILLE ISD (verified owner)

This course was informative but focused mostly on the “gifted” student. As someone that has ADHD and is gifted, I felt like the pace and style of presentation was not effective, given the topic was in regards to ADHD and Gifted students. I felt the presenter was dismissive and arrogant when she made comments how other professionals were wrong or uninformed because they had not taken “her course.”

  27. Norma – WESLACO ISD (verified owner)

  45. Caroline – CARROLLTON-FARMERS BRANCH ISD (verified owner)

This has been the best course. It really gets down to what giftedness is, the misdiagnoses, and telling giftedness apart from ADD/ADHD.

  46. Christy – Private Pay (verified owner)

    Very recommended course.

  47. Monica – BOERNE ISD (verified owner)

    very helpful

  49. Kate – BLANCHESTER LOCAL (verified owner)

It was very dry and sometimes hard to follow.

  50. Melissa – VICTORIA ISD (verified owner)

The course was eye opening to aspects of comparing ADHD & GT that I had not considered given my personal experiences with both in my family. I appreciated the addressing how both manifest from different angles including judgement lag & emotion, which often take a back seat to the physical, social, & Intellectual significance.
