Description
If you rush to give your gifted students more work as soon as they finish their assignments, you may be missing out on a critical opportunity to help your gifted students develop their higher-level thinking skills. Gifted coordinator Todd Stanley says that gifted students don’t need more work, they need more meaningful work.
In this course, Mr. Stanley teaches educators how independent studies can be used to challenge gifted students by using their passions and learning styles to create in-depth projects.
After taking this 1-hour course you’ll be able to:
- See the benefits of using independent study with gifted students
- Understand the various models of independent study that can be used
- Develop the tools you need to implement independent study in your classroom
