With the right tools, gifted students can take on a journey into a lifelong adventure of self-led learning. Self-regulation offers students the freedom to understand the world and their role in it in a dynamic way. It’s the process by which students engage in appropriate actions, thoughts, feelings and behaviors, in order to pursue valuable academic goals.

In this 1-hour course, you will learn:

    This was a very interesting course and I really enjoyed learning about the obstacles GT students are faced with both personally and academically. As the counselor, I can see how important my role would be in working with the GT students to help them build relationships with others through mentorship and lastly the many different ways to check for understanding. I am going to use those ideas within my counseling lessons not just for the GT students, but for all students.
