Are you ready for some self-reflection? As a SPED educator, it’s important to evaluate your work and find areas where you can improve the IEP process. One area to consider is family engagement.

It takes a village to raise a child, and students with disabilities need even more support from their family, school, and community. In this 15-minute course, you’ll learn ways to help families be more involved with their child’s IEP. When parents have opportunities to contribute to their child’s education, they can help improve the student’s level of learning and development.

This course is presented by Noodle Nook, an educational resource center from celebrated educator Ayo Jones. Ms. Jones has over 15 years of experience in the SPED classroom and has dedicated her life to creating resources for SPED educators.

This session is part of the Special Education Self-Assessment Series. The series is all about self-evaluation and gaining a better understanding of how to meet your legally-mandated obligations regarding special education programs and students receiving special education services.
